Virtual Storytime (Pre-recorded)

Join your favorite Children’s Department staff for a fun themed storytime video every Tuesday morning! We will share new and old favorite stories, songs, rhymes, and early literacy activities. All videos will be posted on our YouTube channel. In April, we will talk and sing and read all about adventures, nature, and other fun surprises! Don’t forget to pick up a craft at the library or via curbside pickup beginning the Friday before storytime!

Covid-19 Vaccine Registration

The Area Agency on Aging will be at the library March 17th from 12pm – 4pm to assist applicable community members with registering online for the vaccine. No appointment is necessary, first come first serve.

Scams of 2021

Join us for a Facebook Live presentation from Clair Stewart, an attorney with the Federal Trade Commission. Learn to identify and protect yourself from those trying to take advantage of the present situation. Clair will present over new scams that have developed out of the Covid-19 Pandemic as well as established scams that frequently target seniors citizens.

STEM Kits

Calling the curious, the creative, the calculating!

JPL is excited to introduce a new take-home STEM kit to encourage curious 8 to 12 year-olds to explore the fundamentals of architecture through concepts used by famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. This kit includes several hands-on activities and educational resources.

20 kits will be available inside the library or via curbside pickup. No registration is required and all kits are first come, first served.

 

Dragons in a Bag Chapter Book Club begins

It’s the first week of our Kids Chapter Book Club series! Each week, we will release read aloud videos from the thrilling fantasy novel Dragons in a Bag by Zetta Elliott. We will also provide weekly activity kits for 20 children (ages 8-12).

If you have registered, you will receive videos by email; take-home activity kits will be available on Fridays, March 12, 19, 26, with a live Zoom party on Friday, April 2nd at 5:00 PM.

Supplies are limited to the first 20 children to signup but video links and directions will be supplied to any children interested.
