Chasing the Moon

Chasing the Moon is an upcoming 3 -part movie series presented by PBS. In this sneak peak event, viewers will be able to experience a 30-45 minute clip of Chasing the Moon before it premieres on July 8, 2019. The library will show a clip form Part 2 of the series titled “Saving 1968”. A brief discussion will follow the clip.

Porcelain Painting

Lily Pad Art Studio Presents: Helen Sammarco, Master Artist and Master Teacher. This program will feature a demonstration on the fine art of porcelain painting.

Camp Crowder

Author Jeremy Amick will give a presentation on the history of Camp Crowder. Copies of his book will be available for purchase.

Blood Drive

Joplin Public Library has partnered up with the American Red Cross to put on a blood drive every two months. Donating blood saves lives. Each person who donates will receive a special git from the Red Cross. For Adults 18 years or older. Appointment preferred, but not necessary. Be sure to bring your ID.
