Austen Fest

Jane Austen fans unite! Celebrate Austen awesomeness with a tea, activities, and an audience participation movie. We’ll watch the 2005 Pride and Prejudice film adaptation with Keira Knightley while playing bingo Jane-style plus enjoy various diversions. Fancy biscuits and tea will be served. Cosplay, period dress, and Austen fandom accessories are welcome but not required.

Game Night–International Games Week Edition

International Games Week may be over, but the gaming fun hasn’t stopped!  We’re “unplugged” this month, so it’s cards, chess, board games, and wall-sized Pictionary.  (We’re taking a break from video games.)

November’s theme is “a book that relates to you as a person”.  Feel free to bring a brown bag supper; dessert is on us.

Avast, mateys!This 90 minute event for families with busy toddlers and preschoolers only happens once a month, making it extra special. Opportunities for play-based learning using themes are offered throughout the Children’s Department. Each station encourages adult-child play and teaches early literacy skills. Come explore with us!
