STEM Take-Home Kit

“How big is the sun? What does it look like up close? How does the sun affect shadows, and how can we harness the power of the sun in our everyday lives?”

JPL is excited to introduce a new take-home STEM kit centered around the sun (no pun intended) to help answer these questions. This kit includes several hands-on activities and educational resources and is designed for children ages 8-12.

20 kits will be available inside the library or via curbside pickup. No registration is required and all kits are first come, first served.

Explore and Play at Home: Fairy Tale Day

Behold! It is Explore and Play Fairy Tale Day! Young kings, queens, duchesses, and dukes (ages 1-5) are invited to the Children’s Department to collect take-home activity kits designed to inspire creativity and foster curiosity.

 

Bags are limited to the first 70 children and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Don’t forget to pick up a craft at the library or via curbside pickup beginning the Friday before storytime!

Takeout Kit–Heart Hand Warmer

It’s time for a Teen Takeout craft!  Sew yourself (or someone else) a heart-shaped hand warmer that will keep you toasty.  Starting Friday, Feb. 5, grades 6-12 can pick up a free craft kit in the Teen Department or through curbside pickup.  Supplies are limited, so grab one before they’re gone!

Grades 6-12; no registration needed.
