Chess Club

Children of all skill levels are invited to play chess with the JPL Children’s Department and the Joplin Area Chess Club! We meet once a month for approximately 30 minutes to learn, play, and have fun.

Shelby Van Pelt Author Visit

Join us for the final program of Joplin Reads Together: a visit from Shelby Van Pelt, author of Remarkably Bright Creatures. Shelby will speak about the book, offer time for Q&A and book signing. Books will be available to purchase at the event.
