Exhibit Reception: Summer Reading Art Challenge

Post Art Library and Joplin Public Library welcome you to join them for the opening of Color Your World, the 2025 Summer Reading Art Challenge exhibit, and the unveiling of the Library’s new EnChroma glasses!
In late May, Post Art Library released a call for entry encouraging members of the community to create artworks based on this year’s summer reading theme–Color Our World. In addition to celebrating this community-based exhibit, the Library will also unveil an exciting new addition: EnChroma color blind glasses! These glasses are certain to help our color blind patrons “Color Our World” by improving their color vision. Three sets are being added: one to the Library of Things, which may be checked out by patrons, and two for in-library use, one at Reference and one in the Children’s area.
This non-juried exhibit is comprised of works submitted in three categories: Kids, Teen, and Adult. The purpose of this exhibit it to offer a visual arts component to Missouri’s state-wide summer reading programs for public libraries.
This is a FREE, all-ages event. A library card is not necessary to attend. Registration is not required. Color Your World is on display July 10th -August 17th.
