Circulation Assistant - Part Time

POSITION AVAILABLE: Circulation Assistant

SCHEDULE: Half-time (20 hours per week), non-exempt

DEADLINE: Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but first consideration given to applications received by November 15, 2025.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: This position supports the Circulation Department by serving the needs of library patrons and organizing the return of library materials to their designated locations. This is a clerical position requiring outstanding customer service skills, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational proficiency, familiarity with Library policies and procedures, and the ability to interpret these to the public.

Half-time, non-exempt position

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Two years customer service experience required or two years post high school education completed (college, technical or trade school, the military, etc)

BENEFITS: Benefits package includes a monthly accrual of sick and personal leave, a yearly accrual of two weeks vacation leave and ten paid holidays per year.

SALARY:  $15.12 per hour

Volunteer

Volunteers are a valuable resource for public service organizations and we are grateful to our terrific volunteers who help support the Library. Volunteers generally straighten or shelve materials, perform clerical duties, clean toys, dust shelves, assist with program preparation, or work on other specially assigned projects.
