We often have part-time or volunteer positions available.

Custodian

POSITION AVAILABLE: Custodian

SCHEDULE: Part-time position (20 hours per week), with a combination of afternoons, evenings and weekends required. Some flexibility in scheduling is desired, as the ideal candidate would occasionally cover for their full-time colleague.

DEADLINE: First consideration Jan. 23. Position open until filled.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:  Under general supervision, performs a variety of cleaning activities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent and experience equivalent to one full year of custodial work. Basic e-mail, writing and verbal communication ability required.

BENEFITS: Benefits package includes a monthly accrual of sick and personal leave, a yearly accrual of two weeks of vacation and 11 paid holidays per year; health, dental, and vision insurance available at COBRA rates.

STARTING SALARY: $15.05/hr.

Volunteer

Volunteers are a valuable resource for public service organizations and we are grateful to our terrific volunteers who help support the Library. Volunteers generally straighten or shelve materials, perform clerical duties, clean toys, dust shelves, assist with program preparation, or work on other specially assigned projects.
