Help Design Our 2026 Summer Reading Bookmark!
Summer is just around the corner, and that means one of our favorite traditions is coming back—Summer Reading at the Library!
We’re busy planning a season full of books, prizes, programs, and plenty of fun for readers of all ages. Whether you’re diving into page-turning adventures, exploring new nonfiction topics, or revisiting old favorites, Summer Reading is all about celebrating the joy of reading together as a community.
This year, we need your creativity to help kick things off!
Help Us Design Our 2026 Summer Reading Bookmark
We’re inviting children and teens to submit original artwork for our official Summer Reading bookmark. The winning design will be printed and shared throughout the community
all summer long. Imagine seeing your artwork in the hands of readers everywhere!
How to Participate:
-
Download the Bookmark template, or pick one up in person from the Children’s or Teen Desks
-
Submit original artwork between February 23 and March 23, 2026 to the Children’s or Teen Desks
-
Designs should “Unearth Your Story” and celebrate reading, summer, and imagination
-
Anyone under 18 can participate!
After submissions close, the community will vote for the winning design. It’s a true community collaboration, from creation to selection! Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just love to doodle, we can’t wait to see what you create. Start sketching, painting, or designing, and help us make this year’s Summer Reading program one to remember.
Stay tuned for more details about Summer Reading events, sign-ups, and prizes. Summer adventures start at your library—and this year, they might start with your artwork!
