Coming Up: Programs for Teens
Tuesday, June 4th
- 3:30 PM - Beneath the Surface of Music
For teens entering grades 6 - 12 Local musicians will talk to teens about what it's like being in a band, writing and playing original music, touring, etc.
- 6:00 PM - Of Course Not concert
All ages welcome Local band Of Course Not will play a concert on the Library's front lawn. Copies of their album "Pushing Pencils" will be on sale at the event.
Thursday, June 6th
- - Teen Summer Book Club Registration Begins
For teens entering grades 6 - 12 We're reading "I Hunt Killers" by Barry Lyga. (Any teen is welcome in the book club, but be advised, this book is recommended for high school students) Registration Required. You can register in person in the Teen Department or by calling the Teen Desk at 623-7953. Don't miss Barry Lyga at the Joplin Public Library on July 16th at 3:30pm and 6pm!
- 1:00 PM - Teen Crafternoons: Graffiti
For teens entering grades 6 - 12 Bring your favorite book, movie, song, etc quote (that's Library appropriate) to the Teen Department and add it to our summer decorations!
