    Three-time Emmy winning storyteller, author, and teaching artist Bobby Norfolk will entertain all ages with his imaginative stories.   • - Summer Reading Club Registration Begins
    "Catch the Reading Bug!" when you join this year's summer reading club. Discover the amazing world of insects attend a variety of programs, and earn two free paperback books. All children are eligible to participate and free library cards are available for the duration of the club.

Thursday, May 29th

  • 6:00 PM - Schools Out Pajama Party @ Chick-fil-A
    Children 10-years-old and younger are invited to Chick-fil-A for a Schools Out Pajama Party! Hear Miss Jeana and Cow share pajama stories, make an Ice Dream Sunday, and pose for a picture. For more details call the Library at 417-623-2184.

Monday, June 2nd

  • 2:00 PM - Family Speaker: PSU Nature Reach
    Amazing Insects: Insects probably affect humans more than any other group of animals. Learn more about these intriguing animals, as we discuss their anatomy, classification, behavior, and economic impact, using many preserved specimens (and a few live ones as well!). Children of all ages are welcome, however, anyone under six years must be accompanied by an adult for the entire program.

For children 10-years-old and younger Wear your pajamas, make your own Ice Dream Sunday, enjoy reading time with Miss Jeana from the Joplin Public Library and Cow, and have your picture taken.

Discover the amazing world of insects, attend a variety of entertaining programs, and earn two free paperback books. ALL children are eligible to participate. Simply drop by the Library on or after May 27th and pick up the appropriate materials. FREE library cards are available for all participants for the duration of the Summer Reading Club.
