Saturday, April 19th

Tuesday, April 22nd

  • 6:00 PM - Children's Author Vist: Carolyn Mueller
Carolyn Mueller, a St. Louis author and zookeeper, will be on hand to talk about her newest book, "Lily: A True Story of Courage and the Joplin Tornado." Mueller's book is based on Lily's experiences as a search and rescue dog. The 6 year old Weimaraner is most famous for helping after the tornado that struck Joplin in May 2011, but Carolyn touches on more--the story of Lily's adoption, her training, and even a scary illness that almost took her life. The program is most relevant to children 6-12 years of age, however, adults of all ages are welcome! Changing Hands Book Shoppe will be on hand with copies of Mueller's books for sale and the author will be providing autographs. For more details contact the Children's Desk at 417-623-2184.
